Weekend Warriors
What happened when Jack (Adam Dow) asked Ron (Troy Mink) a simple question: 'What did you do this weekend'? We found out that Jack dabbled in The Black arts and pledged his loyalty to the Dread Lord Narafat, while Ron was possessed by the Arch Angel Michael. The situation was further complicated when Ron let it slip that he (as the Arch Angel) slew the Dread Lord Narafat. Act one closes when Jack is commanded to stop committing mortal sins and to start working Ron's weekend and graveyard shifts (at The Burger Hole). Act two picks up with Jack as he's sweeping the floor and complaining about having to work weekends when, Ron appears with his new girlfriend Miranda (Maria Day). Ron reminds Jack to clean the grease traps and Miranda takes the opportunity to insult Jack's cooking. Not to be belittled, Jack confronts the couple outside of the restaurant with an improvised charm. A supernatural battle ensues and Miranda is accidentally vaporized. The conflict between Jack and Ron comes to a head in act three when Ron and Jack confront a common enemy; the ill tempered manager of The Burger Hole, Jimmy (Krista Cabanas). Will Jack and Ron put aside their differences and form an alliance, or will vengeance rule the day?Written and directed by Shawn Miller, Weekend Warriors is a story about friendship, loss and reconciliation. It also happens to be a tale about a serious game of one-upsmanship, mayhem and a magical battle to the death.
